Project objectives

The main objective of the proposed research project is to design a model of integration of eco-innovations in the innovation process of companies in Slovakia to increase their competitiveness. To reach the goal, the following partial targets was proposed, which follows:

Focus of the project

Orientation towards eco-innovation and their implementation in enterprises is one of the preconditions for achieving sustainable development goals in a global context. The main objective of this research project is to propose a model for the integration of eco-innovations into the innovation process of the forest industry business entities in order to increase their competitiveness in Slovakia. Based on the defined goal, the project addresses a unique issue that is currently an important part of management of enterprises that wish to meet their strategic goals and secure market competitiveness through the implementation of eco-innovations. Eco-innovations are a source of new ideas that support new operations, products and processes linked to environmental protection and environmental sustainability while maintaining economic viability. In particular, the project will deal with the analysis of the current state in the area of eco-innovations at the macro and mezzo level and with the analysis of the factors influencing the innovative process of entrepreneurial subjects in Slovakia at the micro level. The output of the project will be the design of the model for the integration of eco-innovations in business entities implementing the innovation process to increase their competitiveness through innovations based on the principles of sustainable development.
